Introducing Layering Pairs: two perfumes, worn as one

Layering is wearing two fragrances at once so they read as a single scent. Done properly it gives you something you cannot buy in a bottle, and something nobody else is wearing. Done badly, and it usually is, you just smell two perfumes fighting on the same arm.

Two things have to be true at once for a pair to work. The two fragrances need enough in common underneath to hold together, and they need to be different enough higher up to become something neither one is on its own. Every pair is two full bottles in the size you choose, 50ml or 100ml, not miniatures or decants. Each perfume also stands completely on its own. The pair page tells you which bottle goes on your skin first and how many sprays, and the layering guide explains why the order matters.

The part people get wrong is the order. The slower of the two goes on your skin first, not the heavier one. It needs contact and time to anchor, and it is what is still there hours later. The brighter one goes over the top, and as it fades it settles into the shared base rather than disappearing. Spray them the other way around and the bright one burns off while the heavy one takes over anyway.
